James sind in Grossbritannien sehr beliebt und landeten mit vielen dieser Singles dort in den Charts. Auf dem europäischen Festland sind sie weniger bekannt und noch weniger erfolgreich.
James machen poppigen, meist melancholisch angehauchten Rock. Soundmässig erinnern sie mich hie und da an die Go-Betweens, an U2 und manchmal gar an Placebo. Reinhören lohnt sich sicher, wenn man diese Band nicht kennt. Ich persönlich habe aber zwar keinen Riesensong entdeckt unter diesen 33. Ach ja, es gibt hiervon übrigens auch eine Doppel-CD mit weiteren Songs. 4.5
