Vielleicht bekommt er den X-Faktor ja mit diesem Cover - das allseits bekannte Gitarrenriff raus - dafür viel Retro-Bar-Geklimper rein ... eher weniger für Fußballstadien und Bierdosen geeignet.

Der Herr wurde bei der achten Staffel von The X Factor UK (2011) Zweiter hinter der Gruppe Little Mix…vollkommen einfallsloses und überflüssiges Cover des White Stripes-Stücks – Nagel!...

Well there you have it, I'm glad I gave it a go. It's an interesting little take on it, and surprisingly his voice is not bad. It's obviously nothing on the original, but I don't think he could make a good cover of Hypnotize or Expecting or Hello Operator or Black Math or The Air Near My Fingers or Little Acorns or The Union Forever or Suzy Lee or I'm Finding It Harder To Be A Gentleman or approximately 79 others.

I don't think much of the original. I like that he's gone with a totally different sound, but it still doesn't work, and as such, I still prefer the original. In summary, this is average.
